Born in Manhattan, Diana Pinck was raised in her mother's native Switzerland. A voracious reader, she started to draw seriously at the age of 10, and picked up photography when she was 12. Pinck moved back to her native city to study film production at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating and some globe trotting, she returned to study drawing and painting at The Arts Student's League of New York. Since then Pinck has exhibited in many solo and group shows in the Tri-State area, and her paintings are in numerous important collections in the USA and Switzerland.
Currently, Diana lives in Manhasset, where she finds endless inspiration in the beautiful scenery of Long Island. She receives many commissions for portraits, still lifes, land and seascapes. Working chiefly in oil and pastel, her paintings are marked by glowing colors that seem to illuminate the canvas from within. There is a surreal or dream like quality that perfuses all her tableaux.
Diana is member of the prestigious Pastel Society of America. She is a photographer and the art and travel writer for 25A magazine, the Luxury Gold Coast Publication of Long Island.
